What does everyone use to create buttons and background for their files?

Thanks

We have a nice collection of buttons and backgrounds coming soon for you guys at the new site. /ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif

I do everything in Photoshop pretty much, even the occasional 3D stuff I do ends up getting processed by Photoshop in the end. Photoshop is my main tool for all raster graphics.

Photoshop is definitely the app of choice!

Though I'm more inclined to use Photoshop too, JASC Paint Shop Pro is a great program for the more budget minded.

I actually prefer PSP for some things...but that could just be because I use it more often, so it's just more familiar to me (it's what happens to be installed on this system here at work).

All the screenshots and illustrations in the help file were done in PSP btw... /ubbthreads/images/icons/wink.gif

It wasn't my intention to lesson the value of PSP. The vector layers, Paint Tubes, and predefined shapes kick butt!

PSP is a good product for it's price. Photoshop is a superior product but with that comes a steeper learning curve and a higher price tag. If PSP helps you get things done fast then it's good choice. I just don't use it because it isn't capable of doing the things I need personally... But for simple tasks it's fine.
