Hi, I have TU2 deployed on a Win98 vmware virtual machine with 128MB ram showing 82% resources free. There is litteraly nothing on this virtual machine but our application and true update. TU1 loads in about 3 seconds on this same VM. As soon as I converted to the TU2 updater, the load time increased to about 55-60 seconds for the update window to show in the task bar and another 10-12 seconds to actually show the window. (about 1m10s total)
Also, after client scripts are updated and it "needs to be restarted", it again has the 60 second delay. Actually, any time the update is started it shows this delay. What is also interesting is the log file shows no entries during the delay. It is as if the app is paused for a minute and then goes on as usual. Once the first screen is displayed, there is very little if any delay compared with a Win XP Pro machine. The same update package loads in about 2-3 seconds on a WinXp Pro 'real' machine as well as Xp VM's... I am somewhat baffled.
Has anyone else experienced this (I didn't find anything on a search)?
