Open links in firefox (within web object)?

Is there any way to open links within web object in some browser other than IE (e.g. firefox)?

Hi, not "within" the web object. the web object is based on the Internet Explorer activeX control. If Firefox has an activeX control you might be able to manipulate it using LuaCOM. That's a good suggestion for 6.0 though, a Firefox object, you should add that to the 6.0 suggestions thread if you have a minute. :yes

Maybe not harder than it would seem (minutes to port in some cases they say...)

      And this quote:

      Not just a similar API

      An identical one!

come to think about it, IndigoRose could build thier own web object based on the open source Mozilla code... right?
which would be very customizable, like all native apms objects

I will do that, but I don't think that you shoud add a firefox object, at least not because of this. If you do, we would have an IE object, Firefox object, and later, probably some other object... Lots of objects... There could be only firefox object in 6, but it should be able to open links in the users default browser... For example, a user should choose wether he wants to open links in web object, or outside of it..

I agree with you Dakis. Things change so rapidly in our world that it is not sound to close the options.
A webobject which could be opened in AMS using the users default webbrowser or opened externally seems to me to be the right solution.
