This is an odd one, and it took forever to figure out. For some reason, when a user has their CD burning capability enabled in Windows XP, a part of our AMS5 application does not function properly when running off of a CD. It runs fine from a hard drive. It only works after we disable CD burning under the CD drive properties in Windows XP. We have a web object on a page that triggers an event which opens another page with a web object (which includes a javascript that displays a treelike structure for navigation). When navigating to the next screen, the web object displays the dreaded "This page cannot be displayed" message. Has anyone ever seen strange behavior like this? Again, it only happens when the application is running from the CD and the CD burning capability of Windows is turned on. I thought it might be security related, but it doesn't seem to be.
