Remind on date?

I am looking to create a little app which will popup a diolog message if the date on the machine matches the one in my filename.txt located in my docs folder. Can anyone help with achieving this?

One of the things I do is run a small AMS app in my all users/startup folder that logs every boot together with user details and time booted. My colleagues think it's magic that I always know who left things all messed up :lol

It would be easy to do the same thing and have the app check the date against an ini value / reg key / text file and only go further if the date is the one you are looking for - just exit if not.
