I have a project where I want to play a number of videos. I add an action to a button to play one video in plugin1 media player and another action on button 2 to play the second video on plugin2 media player.

Now when I preview the project i click on button one which open the media player and plays the file, no problem. Now once the player is shut down i click on the second button, the media player starts but then crashes to a send or don't send error box, everytime!

I seems no matter what I do media player will always crash if i try to play onefile after the other, dosn't matter which one comes first. Always the second play will make it crash.

I can play either file in media player no problem by itself.

Help!

What actions are you using for the buttons? I just loaded 2 videos at once (and played simultaneously) with no problems.

Your description of the error message doesn't match anything that I've experienced - perhaps a screen shot would help us to understand what's happening.

If you only want to play one video at a time you don't need to have two Media Player objects. You can keep loading/playing different videos in a single instance.

Hey longedge, thanks for your tip, that did the trick.

Being new to AMS I didn't realise that you only needed one plugin object for many different videos. I put in a plugin object for each video i wanted to play.

Seems like if you run one video on one plugin object and THEN run your next video on another plugin object it will crash the second plugin every time.

Would like to know if someone else can repeat this?

Regardless, problem now solved, just one plugin object to run all my video's!

Thanks guys.

:yes - you're just a couple of steps behind me :) . Without the forum, I would probably have given up on many occasions but many of the things that completely stumped me just a few months ago seem blindingly obvious now.

I still need lots of help (although many times I don't need to actually ask - thank goodness for the 'search' link in the forum :) )

Hi iriamm,

I'm afraid I don't quite understand.

Is this correct -
1. You have got one or more images on your page.
2. When you click an image then the corresponding video plays.
3. When a video is playing, you want the background soundtrack to pause.
4. When the video ends, start playing the soundtrack from where it paused.

I don't understand "music background with time less than 20 sec".

Easiest way would be for you to convert your mp3 files to ogg and let AMS deal with them. You can use many converters. I would recommend DBPowerAmp.
