Try this simple teaser and see if you can set the highest score... I can manage 22 seconds consistantly.

I have a 59min. 52sec. .avi that shows me playing this dang game!
(credit to my Camtasia software)
The best I could get was 22.532

Intrigued - best score at 22.532 seconds Beats my hard earned 22.153 seconds
Such an addictive waste of time - coding gives more reward - (a tangible outcome in most cases). Sorry for the distraction to life :lol :yes :yes

I managed to get 22.602 out of it after about 20 tries but I cheated by memorizing a pattern, i.e. first I went into the bottom right corner, then moved to top left when the next block threatened me, then to the lower left, and so on. Makes it much easier since it's the same pattern each time. Obviously I quit as soon as I topped the existing high score because victory is everything. :yes
I just thought of something, turning your resolution down would probably make it easier. Or at least that's my theory, and I'm sticking to it. :o

Wow, that's out of range for me for sure, kudos. :yes
As the outgoing champion, it behooves me to make a speech, but frankly I'm too disoriented from this sudden defeat, so... :o

Just what I need another time wasteing game to play. aaaarrrrrgggghhh. 19.981 seconds

32 seconds?
Tell me you did not make a Dialog.Message()!
;-)
*I thought this was interesting and that is why I "filmed" my progress. I wanted to see how many times I would get a horrible score after a good one, if I would get aggitated after about an hour and get horrible scores... you know... the tipical blow-it-out-of-proportions gaming sort of thing.
:D
Dialog.Message("Microsoft Internet Explorer", "you lasted 57.266 seconds", MB_OK, MB_ICONEXCLAMATION, MB_DEFBUTTON1);

Exactly!
Ha! Ha!
But, surely... no one did that. ;-)
My best has been 40 seconds, neat little game, although evertime I get hit it annoys me becuase I know that I could have dodged the block.
Edit: 47.51 seconds

Forty seven seconds? I know the speed increments after a few seconds. Can you video capture one of those 47 second routines?
I'm curious to see it.

And.. and... you have to video record the HTML/JavaScript code just before you get that score! ;-)
OK we'll call Mark "rainman" since I cheated, but if his is legit then I'll gladly hand over the title.. c'mon man 47 seconds.. your a machine
"yeah I definitly have to play the dodge game....."

ok, this is odd.
My machine at home... the game play is smooth and I only can get that 22.532. Here on my laptop at the shop... I can double that.
So, there is a CPU load issue maybe and the way the code in the .html file goes?
Odd indeed.
I do not have any software to make a video capture with, but I did indeed reach tiem times I mentioned. I think this has less to do with my mouse skills and more todo with the choppiness of the game on my computer. I thought that it was like that for everyone, but after reading Intrigued's post I'm guessing that everyone is getting 20 seconds on a smooth game and I am geting 47 seconds on a choppy game.

I also played it on my laptop inside the Firefox browser and the "choppy" play was very pronounced and I approached 50 myself.
Well, I guess back to seeing how many ceiling tiles holes I can count in a minute...

I cant believe the word cheating would even be whispered here! I believe we are much more honest and professional than that. There is no pride in cheating!!
Anyway - here is my score ;)

My pleasure Intrigued, I too have enjoyed the comments - the genuine attempts (and not so genuine), happy that it brought out the competitive side of us all. :yes :yes :yes
