Got a chance to hit the keys for a few hours yesterday, here's a new tune:

I used a new VSTi called syntar on this one for a few accents, I'm quite happy with it. It's free, so anyone who needs a decent sitar sound for fills, etc. should definitely try it out. You can download Syntar here:

Sonic quality seems to be good as you can hear in the mix, rich and smooth. It plays remarkably well too, i.e. it's fairly inspiring, which is the main thing any good VSTi needs to do... Full credit to Mark Andrews for creating and giving away such as marvellous instrument for free. :yes

By the way, anyone who wishes to integrate AutoPlay Media Studio projects into custom VSTs/VSTis just by dragging 'n dropping can do so very easily using the "System Command" module found in Synthedit. Synthedit is a free tool which allows you to create custom VSTs based upon modules, other VSTs, or the Synthedit SDK. Probably one of the ten coolest pieces of software I've ever seen in my life. You don't need any programming knowledge to create your own VSTs and VSTis, and you can create audio "circuits" or "systems" in real time with live audition. It gives you full access to audio/MIDI IO and controls, etc. You can get it for free here:

http://www.synthedit.com/

You can create even VSTs which automate your repetitive tasks, for example if you have a favorite way to EQ and reverb a vocal track, you can use the modules in Synthedit to build/publish a VST which does that exact processing in mere minutes. Then anytime you need it, you can just drop it on any track in any audio/video editor which supports VST, and voila! Easy to add several unique presets too, etc...

One of these days I'm going to start releasing some top notch VSTs I've been dabbling with, just a matter of time. I'll definitely post an example of using an AMS project in a VST plug-in soon. :)
