VMware or MS Virtual PC?

Which version do you (anyone) prefer and why? Have you used both?

If VMware, wait for version 5?

Haven't used VMWare, although I saw someone else use an early version of it long (loooong) ago.

We use MS Virtual PC at work for testing. Lately I've found it really useful for testing an algorithm's low-mem behaviour; just fire up one of my various virtual XP systems in Virtual PC with the system RAM set low.

To be honest, I think we use Virtual PC primarily because we got it with our MSDN developer license, but we've all been really impressed with it.

Adam uses it like mad every day, for instance...he has a second monitor devoted almost entirely to Virtual PC most of the time.

I use VMWARE almost every day to check out new setup builds. Nothing like installing on a "clean" machine to see that you left out a critical component. It was very easy to install, and runs pretty quickly.

Gee... I didn't realize I got "virtual PC" with my MSDN. I'll have to check that out.

Virtual PC has served me very well. I use it daily without issue
