I find the channel 9 stuff to be extremely well done overall. What I really like about the developer interviews is that he asks "actual questions", i.e. sometimes very tough ones which focus on MS's weak points. For my money that makes all their stuff watchable as opposed to the other 99.9% of corporate cheerleading videos. Thanks for the link Intrigued. :)

Yeah I hear you, $20K is about perfect for a basic creative setup nowadays. Rather amazing when you think about it since the equivalent level of technology you can buy for $20K nowadays would have cost you millions a decade or two ago. :yes

Almost all the classic rock albums were recorded on gear which pales in comparison to today's tools. Back then a really decent soundboard would run you half a million dollars or more whereas now it's just a fraction of that:
