Hey Guys.

Im looking for a good, FREE, on screen keyboard to use with a touchscreen. There was a pretty good one posted in these forums before, the problem is, im using it as part of an application in development, and the keyboard works by first displaying a little keyboard icon on the top of the screen, then you have to click that to start the keyboard. I need a keyboard the looks nearly the same, but opens and displays when you execute it, and closes when you...well...close it.....

See attachment for example, and the problem that im speaking of

any ideas, any ones to check out?

I dont see the problem you are having! Why cant you use the keybord that's in the zip file?
As for the 'icon' - make a copy of the larger one and reduce it in a graphics app. or just put the pic in to AMS and 'drag' it in to make the pic smaller.

hi,

ok, when you launch the .exe program, it shows a small icon, which you then have to click to see the actual keyboard. I dont want this, i want the keyboard to display right away.

Also, when you press the X on teh bottom right of the keyboard, it hides the keyboard but the icon is still there, if you run the exe again you will get two copies running.

Basically my program is going to have a keyboard button, that launches the keyboard.exe, i want it to show right away so they can start typing. Also, when the keyboard is closed, the whole program should close, because if they press the keyboard button again then it will start another copy, because its calling the EXE again? know what im saying?

:huh So use the keybd.jpg file on the page that will show when your application opens

[où est le problème?]

Check this project I made using a pretty neat and FREE application called Click-N-Type. (Credit: http://www.lakefolks.org/cnt/)

What's nice is you can even make customized keyboards!

Here's the project. I recommend you take a look at controlling the Ctrl+Alt-Del key combo and the Taskbar (I just choose to not have the Taskbar always on-top)

Here is an .exe example, very basic:

Interesting. I like those vintage typing sounds. :yes :)

Ya, that's a neat little program. Though, in retrospect it may not be the best way either. As there are menu items an end-user will sooner or later want to check out. :wow

:D

ps. I just installed the entire program to a folder called ClickNType and put that in with the other AMS 5 folders, in the project.
