Having an AM5 exe start automatically on a web server

I've loaded a exe on a directiory on the web server holding my internet site (server runs Apache). This is a server managed by an ISP, and they do allow scripting.

When a user goes to that directory, I'd like the exe to automatically run (as opposed to requiring the user to click on the exe).

    First question: Is that possible?
Second, Does anyone have a sample UNIX script I can use?

Thanks very much for any suggestions or comments!

    Thanks Corey.

Unfortunately, I know nothing about UNIX. Could you point me to sample script that contains that command?

    Thank again.

Just so you know, your .exe's aren't going to run on unix - they'll only work on Windows.
New Release: Setup Factory 9.6 adds Windows 11 compatibility and support for hardware token OV/EV Code Signing certificates.

I hope AMS 5 gets to the lists on either of these two pages sooner than later!

Hi! Autoplay works (or: worked) OK via Wine! (not 100% tested, but still the sounds works)....

(tested on Debian/knoppix Kurumin 5.0 with Wine experimental with IE6 installed)

          ?

Hi. AutoPlay Media Studio is only intended to run on Windows based systems, we don't support any other platforms. We don't recommend executing AutoPlay Media Studio systems on other platforms, and there are no assurances that your projects will run properly on other platforms even if they appear to test OK. That's not to say they won't, but it certainly would not be an appropriate strategy for mission critical applications. :yes

Mikhail, thanks for the feedback. :yes

I believe Corey just wants to make it very clear that this sort of cross-platform use is not officially supported. But, to share such for thos more venturous (wanting to try something out, or test as you stated)... is fine.

*Corey, if I understood you correctly*
