macromedia seminar on actionscript........

I just got back from a actionscript seminar hosted by macromedia. Not bad at all. The seminar was $99 and I would say for the most part well worth it, heck I got a free CD of the entire seminar, with all of the files that we worked on. So, dont be alarmed if you see me posting more actionscript samples in the future.

        Check this out AGRO:

Pretty cool tool, lots of features, I like the actionscript editor too... And the price was just exactly what my budget could afford.

Don't forget Adobe's LiveMotion (though little birdies are telling me that may not be the case forever).

Also, ToonBoom Studio is a really cool piece of software that is used by Disney among many other companies for broadcast quality cel-style animation (like hand-drawn). The Flash output from that program is a feature, but not its major output format. It also costs a whole bunch more than a few seats of Flash MX.

It's pretty fair to say that Flash is both a tool and a file format (SWF). Most of these programs mentioned will output SWF, but beyond that, most don't share too much in common with the actual Macromedia program.
