- Feature: Added a "(plugin)" suffix in the Action Wizard for action categories that were added by a plugin.
- Feature: Updated lzma.exe to version 4.65.
- Feature: Updated upx.exe to version 3.05.
- Feature: Added support for Windows Vista SP2 and Windows Server 2008 SP2 to the OS system requirements tree.
- Fix: Fixed a bug where if the File.GetShortName action failed, a string containing garbage would be returned. Failure can occur if the file does not exist.
- Fix: Fixed a bug where the second parameter of the Table.Sort action wasn't being handled properly.
- Fix: Fixed a bug where the UninstallData.RemoveItem action was not updating the uninstall.xml properly if the UNINDATA_FOLDERS InstallType was used.
- Fix: Fixed a bug where the _IgnoreInvalidCertificate global would not ignore certificate revocation errors.
- Fix: Fixed a bug where the spell checker would only work properly with text shorter than 1000 characters.
- Fix: Fixed a bug where adding uninstall scripts to the uninstall data file using the UninstallData.AddItem action twice without uninstalling, would correct the script.

- Fix: Fixed a bug where the click to skip option was not working for the Dialog.SplashImage action.

- Feature: Made it so that invalid certificates can be ignored through the use of an undocumented variable called _IgnoreInvalidCertificate.
- Fix: Fixed a bug where the read-only style for the edit field was not being set or removed properly when the control was enabled at runtime.
- Fix: Fixed a bug where a blank error message would appear when using a session variable as the "Load from file" setting of an HTML scrolling text control.
- Fix: Fixed a bug where the custom screen properties would occasionally crash.
- Fix: Made it so that the HTTP Error Dialog will be displayed (if allowed) if an invalide certificate is encountered.
- Fix: Fixed a bug where the Scrolling Text control was rendered unselectable if "HTML" text type, and "Load from file" was selected.
- Fix: Fixed a bug where comments were causing errors when importing .REG files.
- Fix: Made it so that if the uninstall executable already exists, it overwrites it even if it is the same version. This fixes an issue with evaluation version uninstall executables.
- Fix: Fixed a bug where large icons would sometimes cause the resulting executable to break.
- Fix: Fixed a bug so that the uninstall executable and uninstall folder are removed properly at the end of the uninstall process if successful.
- Fix: Fixed a bug where Scrolling HTML controls could not be shown or hidden.
- Fix: Fixed a bug where Scrolling Text control IDs were incorrect when referenced on the custom screen.
- Fix: Fixed a bug where screen images located outside of a project theme when "override project theme" is selected weren't being saved properly.
- Fix: Fixed a bug where REG_DWORD values larger then MAX_INT were not being written to the registry properly.
8.1.1006.0 - November 6, 2008
- Feature: Added a new action called "System.GetOSProductInfo" that gets the product type for the operating system (only supported on Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008).
- Feature: Added the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 dependency module.
- Fix: Fixed a bug where screens exported to the All User Application Data folder were not loading their text properly.
- Fix: Fixed a bug where the File.GetSize action would return the incorrect file size for files larger then 4.7GB.
- Fix: Fixed a bug where the Add Files dialog on Windows Vista was not displaying all of the add options.
- Fix: Fixed a bug where you had to select at least one file on the Add Files dialog in order to get the add options to work. This is still a known issue on Windows Vista.
- Fix: Fixed a bug where the Shell.Execute action was setting an incorrect error code.
- Fix: Fixed a bug where Scrolling Text control's "Load from file" files were being included in the build even when "Specify Now" was selected.
- Fix: Fixed a bug where sometimes opening version 7.0 project files containing multi-lingual text would result in an error.
- Fix: Fixed a bug were an incorrect error message would be shown at design-time if "Load from file" was selected for a web page on the Scrolling Text screen and the local file did not exist.
- Fix: Fixed an incorrect secondary language ID in the Japenese screen language files that would cause the language not to be found at design time.
- Fix: Fixed a bug where Ctrl+F was being used for two keyboard shortcuts in the code editor.
- Fix: Fixed the language mapping for the Croatian language (a problem with secondary IDs) and added Bosnian to the language map.
- Fix: Fixed a bug where building multiple setups at the same time would not work.
- Fix: Fixed a bug where 0 was being returned during an unattended build if Setup Factory 8.0 could not open the project file that is being built.
- Fix: Fixed a bug where temporary files were being left behind when a build was cancelled.
- Fix: Fixed a bug where temporary runtime files were being left behind when a setup was cancelled.
- Fix: Fixed a bug where progress bars were not redrawing properly on non-themed operating systems greater than Windows Vista.

- Fix: Fixed a bug where blank default text for a ComboBox control would not initially set the session variable attached to it.
- Fix: Fixed a bug where double-clicking on project files that contained no files would cause the "Start a New Project" dialog to be displayed.
- Fix: Fixed a bug where the ZIP plugin would replace folders with nil in the table returned by Zip.GetContents when not including folder names.
